Put A Ring On It

De Beers conflict free ad for the FOREVERMARK line. Diamonds that foster international development and promote integrity? To that I say, put a ring on it.


Instead of buying yourself a new ring to celebrate your "independence," (ladies) or flashing your engagement ring to indicate you're already taken, there's a seemingly more profound reason to take pride in wearing diamonds.  De Beers diamond cartel is involved in many integral parts in the diamond pipeline, which is the journey of a diamond from mining to manufacturing. However, with the controversy surrounding "blood" or "conflict" diamonds, the social advocate consumer is discouraged from purchasing precious gems in order to advert indirectly contributing to human rights violations in countries such as South America and Africa.

To prove how much De Beers values integrity, the company has created its own FOREVERMARK brand: collections of gorgeous solitaire pieces that promise responsible sourcing.

A humanitarian initiative that fosters international development by promoting job creation - sounds like a great excuse to splurge to me!!
